Robert Haselhurst (born September 27, 1992 in Perth ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Newcastle North Stars in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2018 .

Career

Robert Haselhurst began his career with Perth Thunder from his hometown, for whom he played in the Australian Ice Hockey League from 2013 to 2017 . At times he was also used by the West Coast Flyers in the lower-class Western Australian Super League. In 2017 he was voted best defender of the AIHL. In March 2018 he announced his move from the Australian west to the east coast to the Newcastle North Stars , for whom he has played since then. In 2018 he was nominated for the AIHL All-Star Game.

International

At the 2018 World Cup , Haselhurst played for Australia in Division II for the first time .
