Robert Hofferer

Robert Hofferer (* 1959 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian film and theater producer as well as art and culture manager .

Life

After graduating from high school, Hofferer completed an apprenticeship at the University of Vienna and obtained his master's degree in theater studies and communication studies . Robert Hofferer then produced theater projects for independent groups in Graz and Vienna and organized exhibitions and performances by young artists. He also worked as a freelance culture journalist for print media, television and radio. For more than a decade he has been traveling extensively in Europe, Africa, Asia and America. Robert Hofferer is intensively involved in the fine arts, music, theater and film both professionally and privately. He was the artistic project manager in the planning, construction and operation of the House of Music Vienna from 1998 to 2001. In 2006 he founded the company Artdeluxe Art and Culture Management in Vienna and was manager of the actress Aslı Bayram from 2006 to 2012 , whose international career he made possible and significantly promoted and shaped. Robert Hofferer was the manager of Andre Heller until 2016 , who is mentioned in his book Africa! Africa! thanked him. and managing director of the company Artevent in Vienna. In this function he organized all of the company's projects, such as the design of the Swarovski Crystal Worlds and the cultural projects in connection with the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, such as B. the soccer globe.

In 2013 he was the producer of the new edition of the show Afrika! Africa! , whose tour ended in 2014.

From 2012 to 2017, Robert Hofferer was one of the main sponsors of the LET'S CEE Film Festival and sponsor of the Urania Award in the categories of best feature film and best documentary, as well as the Urania Star for the life's work of an outstanding personality in the film world. In 2013 the Artdeluxe Award for the best short film was added.

Robert Hofferer is an advisor to the Chongqing (China) state cultural department . In 2016 he organized the first Austrian tour of the Chongqing Symphony Orchestra with performances at the Musikverein Wien, Brucknerhaus Linz and Stift Ossiach in Carinthia. Robert Hofferer also organized the first Austrian film show in Shanghai in 2016, in cooperation with the Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association.

In 2019 Robert Hofferer was accepted into the European Film Academy. The EFA was founded in 1989 by Ingmar Bergman and has since accepted selected international filmmakers into its ranks. Its president is Wim Wenders. The European Film Prize, the most important award for pan-European filmmaking, is given annually by the EFA.
