Robert Kozinets

Robert V. Kozinets (* 1964 ) is Associate Professor at the Schulich School of Business at York University , Toronto , Canada .

Life

Robert Kozinets received a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University, Toronto, Canada in 1987 and a Master of Business Administration in 1988 . In 1997 he received his PhD in Marketing and Organizational Behavior from the School of Business at Queen's University , Kingston , Canada. From 1997 to 2004 he was an assistant professor at Northwestern University in Illinois ; In 2004/2005 he taught at the University of Wisconsin – Madison . Since 2005 he has been teaching at York University in Toronto.

research

Kozinets is concerned with a. with brand management and brand loyalty, entertainment and technology marketing, the development and introduction of new products as well as with consumer cultures, subcultures and consumer activism. In particular, he teaches and researches consumer behavior in the field of new technology, various types of consumer resistance and word-of-mouth. He developed the research method of netnography , a method for studying online communities , and, together with Russell Belk, the method of videography.
