Robert Marteau (born March 9, 1962 in Elspe , Germany ) is a German magician and mentalist .

Life

From 1969 to 1980 Robert Marteau was on stage from childhood as an actor at the Karl May Festival in Elspe. Marteau is a member of the Magic Circle of Germany and there three times prize-winner in the years 1997, 2001 and 2013 in the category Mental Magic . He is the founder of the Community of European Mentalists and a member of the British Society of Mystery Entertainers .

At the end of the 1990s he worked as an expert on magic in WDR for the program "Blauer Montag"; In 2006 he was hired as a consultant and actor regarding mind reading / clairvoyance for the program "Welt der Wunder" on Pro 7 . In 2010 he became champion in an ARD quiz , where he showed close-up magic.

As a specialist author, he writes articles for magic , the specialist body of the Magical Circle of Germany. He wrote for the Magical World in the 1980s. He also wrote for the periodically published work Der Nachtkauz , a series of books for mental magic, published by Atriocverlag and in the specialist magazine Scriptum (2/2009) published by Christoph Borer through the magic cabinet Alexander Römer. In addition, Robert Marteau created his own routines and tools for the magic scene. This includes B. the routine "hand over the candle". Robert Marteau works as a coach for magicians in the field of direction, dramaturgy and the construction of magic performances. In November 2013, the director and author of the Karl May Games Elspe, Jochen Bludau, entrusted him with the role of Juggle Fred in the Karl May play "Unter Vultures, im Llano Estacado", with which he was on stage in the 2014 summer season.

Since May 2015, as a franchisee, he has had the piece "Tommy with the magic box" in his program, with which he is currently one of 5 licensees as a child magician in elementary schools.
