Coins

From 1990 a new 20 cent coin was introduced, with Conly's design of the reverse of this coin. It shows a Maori carving of Pukaki, a chief of the Ngati Whakaue tribe.

He also designed the new one and two dollar coins. They were introduced as a means of payment in New Zealand in 1991 and replaced the $ 1 and $ 2 banknotes that had been in effect until then. The 1 dollar coin shows the kiwi , the national bird of New Zealand designed by Conly . The 2-dollar coin shows the rare bird called Kotuku or White Heron, which is of great importance in Maori mythology.

Postage stamps

He designed postage stamps for New Zealand and for Tokelau , Ross Dependency , Niue and the Cook Islands .
