Robert Mauritz Bowallius
Robert Mauritz Bowallius (born May 24, 1817 in Västmanland , † January 19, 1902 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish historian and archivist .
Bowallius had been a lecturer in history in Uppsala since 1842 and an assistant at the Stockholm Imperial Archives from 1847, of which he was head from 1874 to 1882. In addition to the publication of historical works, he edited the first six issues of the important publication Meddelanden från Svenska Riksarkivet (Stockholm 1877–82). His son Carl Bovalliius (1849–1907) was a well-known biologist .
