Robert Neuhaus

Robert Neuhaus (* 1864 in Krefeld ; † 1934 in Wassenberg ) was a German architect .

Life

No details are known about Robert Neuhaus's school and training time. Professionally, Neuhaus worked as an architect in Cologne from 1887 to 1894 , where he also lived. He maintained a joint architecture office with the cathedral builder Carl Schauppmeyer (1872–1933). Around 1894 Neuhaus took part in an architectural competition by the city of Rheydt for a planned new town hall. Neuhaus received the contract from the city of Rheydt to build the town hall, even though his design did not win first prize in the competition. In the course of this contract, Neuhaus moved to Rheydt. Here he developed into an important villa architect in the region with over 20 residential and commercial buildings. Numerous entrepreneurs were among his clients. Many of his buildings are now listed .

  • 1912: City villa in Parkstrasse 71, Mönchengladbach, in which Neuhaus himself has lived since 1913
