Robert Scharbach

Robert Scharbach (born May 13, 1890 in Kenzingen , † April 4, 1966 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a wood and stone sculptor .

Life

Robert Scharbach worked in the southern Baden region and had his own studio near Freiburg im Breisgau . His work extended to religious art, but also contemporary representations and wooden portraits of goddesses (e.g. Justitia ) or the bridge saint Nepomuk , who is still standing at the Hirschsprung in Hellental today.

Later Robert Scharbach also worked in Switzerland, a. a. you can see his work “Mary with Jesus on her lap” in the Catholic Church in Zug .

Robert Scharbach was a member of the BBK Südbaden. He died at the age of 76 in Freiburg im Breisgau.
