Robert Schick (born April 7, 1959 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lawyer and judge . He has been a judge at the Administrative Court since 1997 and a substitute member of the Constitutional Court since 1999 . He is also an honorary professor at the University of Salzburg .

education

Robert Schick was born in the Austrian capital Vienna, grew up there and also attended school in Vienna. In 1977 he graduated from a natural science secondary school in Vienna and then completed military service . Afterwards Schick began the study of law at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna , which he in 1983 with the promotion to Doctor of Law graduated. In addition, Schick also studied economics and philosophy. Robert Schick completed his legal practice in 1983 and 1984 .

Professional background

Robert Schick started his first job in 1984 as a legal employee in the IT center of the Federal Ministry of the Interior . In 1986 he switched to the constitutional service of the Federal Chancellery , where he also worked as a department head from 1994. In 1997, Robert Schick was finally appointed to the administrative court as a councilor and thus judge at this highest court. Two years later, in 1999, he was also appointed a substitute member of the Constitutional Court at the suggestion of the National Council . Robert Schick also teaches at the University of Salzburg as an honorary professor.
