Robert Stähr (born August 1, 1960 in Linz ) is an Austrian writer .

Live and act

Stähr studied German and communication science at the University of Salzburg . From 1989 to 1992 he was a dramaturge and actor at the Phönix Theater in Linz and at the Toihaus Theater in Salzburg . In 1993 he started teaching adult education and since 1996 he has been the editor of Edition Pro Mente in Linz. From 2006 to 2008 he was a juror for the Upper Austrian literary magazine Die Rampe .

Stähr is a member of the Graz authors' assembly . He has been a member of the MAERZ artists' association since 1994 . His texts are committed to an avant-garde tradition of modern literature. In 2003 he took advantage of the Austrian State Scholarship for Literature 2003. He was also awarded a residency grant from the Province of Upper Austria in the Villa Stonborough-Wittgenstein .
