Robert Cloud
Robert L. Wolke (* 1928 in New York ) is a professor emeritus from the University of Pittsburgh and non-fiction author, who is best known for the non-fiction series "What Einstein ..." .
Life
Cloud was born in New York in 1928. At the age of 12 he got his first chemistry set. He studied chemistry at the renowned Cornell University . From 1960 to 1990 he was a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, where he taught chemistry. For several years he has published the column Food 101 in the Washington Post , from which the idea for his first non-fiction book "What Einstein Told His Cook" arose. In his books, Wolke tries to explain everyday scientific phenomena in a way that laypeople can understand.
Cloud is married with one daughter and lives in New Hampshire .
