Roberto Bruni (born July 7, 1916 in Treviso ) is an Italian actor .

Life

Bruni trained as an engineer, but at the age of twenty he appeared in the documentary film Umbria verde, the "Appia Film". Three years later, the athletic, handsome and personable actor made his film debut as Dria Paola's fiance in the musical melodrama La mia canzone al vento . After promising early years - outstanding his interpretation of the composer Vincenzo Bellini in Maria Malibran - Bruni was with the exception of the cynical seducer in Il caso della vita employed in its first post-war film only in a few notable films as a character actor.

Bruni saw the stage world in companies from the front row like those of Ruggero Ruggeri , Carlo Ninchi , Andreina Pagnani and Laura Adani / Sergio Tofano . Noteworthy here was his "Sergeant O'Hara" in arsenic and lace bonnet . In musical revues, Bruni was on stage alongside Totò , Renato Rascel and Nino Taranto , for example in Michele Galdieri's Bada che ti mangio! in 1949. In addition to his acting duties, he also devoted himself to dubbing and radio work.
