Roberto Gonzáles Cortés ( February 2, 1905 , † August 30, 1975 ) was a Chilean football player .

Cortés, who played in the position of goalkeeper , initially belonged to the club Chilex Chuquicamata . At least from 1933 to 1935 he was in the ranks of Colo-Colo .

National team

Cortés was also a member of his home country's national team . At the Campeonato Sudamericano in 1926 he played three encounters against the national teams of Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay. He also took part in the first football World Cup in 1930 with the Chilean team . There he was used in all three games against Argentina, France and Mexico. He was also part of the Chilean squad at the Campeonato Sudamericano in 1935 . There, too, he completed all three encounters with Chilean participation.
