Roberto Figueroa (March 20, 1904 , † January 24, 1989 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

The Figueroa used on the left wing belonged to at least from 1923 to 1925, from 1927 to 1929 and 1931 the cadre of Wanderers in the Primera División . During this period he won the Uruguayan championship with the Wanderers in 1923 and 1931. The title of 1923 with the Atlético Wanderers was that of the parallel championship played by the Federación Uruguaya de Football (FUF) during the phase of the split in the organizational structure of Uruguayan football.

National team

Figueroa was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . Overall, he completed nine internationals from his debut on November 2, 1921 to his last game for the Celeste on December 14, 1933. He scored six hits. Figueroa took part with the national team in the South American Championships in 1927 (three games, three goals, together with four other players top scorer ) and 1929 (no use). In 1927 he took second place with Uruguay. At the 1928 Summer Olympics Figueroa celebrated with the squad of Celeste finally his greatest career success. The team became Olympic champions. Figueroa played in a game of the Olympic tournament.

He also won the Copa Newton in 1924 with the national team .
