Robin Rumler (2020)

Robin Rumler (born May 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2009 he has been the managing director of Pfizer Corporation Austria based in Vienna.

life and career

Robin Rumler completed his studies in human medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna (today Medical University of Vienna ) in 1991.

After initial experience as an assistant doctor, Robin Rumler worked in various functions and companies in the pharmaceutical industry from 1992, including Janssen-Cilag, AstraZeneca and Sanofi. In 2004 he moved to Pfizer as Marketing Director. In 2009 he took over the management of Pfizer Corporation Austria, based in Vienna. From 2014 to 2019 he was also Managing Director of Pfizer Manufacturing Austria based in Orth an der Donau (Lower Austria).

Robin Rumler has a leading role in the following bodies:

  • PHARMIG , Association of the Austrian Pharmaceutical Industry : Vice President since 2016, before that President from 2010 to 2016
  • PHARMIG-ACADEMY, advanced training, seminars - President since 2016
  • AmCham - American Chamber of Commerce in Austria, Vice-President since 2015
  • Health goals committee of the Main Association of Social Insurance and PHARMIG, chairman since 2011
  • IAA - Int. Advertising Association / Austria Chapter - Advisory Board Member since 2006
  • PRAEVENIRE Health Forum - member of the Scientific Advisory Board since 2019
  • PMCA - Pharma Marketing Club Austria - President 2004 to 2010
