Robina Higgins

Robina Higgins (married Haight; born April 28, 1915 , † December 31, 1990 ) was a Canadian javelin thrower .

In 1938 she won the British Empire Games in Sydney . In the same year, on July 1, she set a national record in Winnipeg with 40.21 m, which lasted until 1952.

She was Canadian champion in javelin throwing three times (1935, 1939, 1941), twice in the shot put (1935, 1936) and once in discus throwing (1936).

In 1984 she was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame .
