Isabel Gabbe

Isabel Gabbe (* 1973 in Munich ) is a Franco-German pianist . She teaches piano and piano didactics at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen .

Artistic development

Gabbe received her training from Hans Leygraf in Salzburg and Berlin. She received artistic suggestions from John Perry, Georgy Sebok, Klaus Schilde, Peter Frankle, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Paul Badura-Skoda and Rainer Becker.

In chamber music courses she worked with Gerhard Schulz ( Alban Berg Quartet ), David Finckel (Emerson String Quartet), Zara Neslova, Eberhardt Feltz, Wolfram Rieger and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau . Gabbe has performed as a soloist and partner of members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Staatskapelle and the Vogler Quartet in Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Brazil and the USA. In October 2014 she performed with the young German violinist Judith Stapf in Bonn .

She has already made numerous radio and television recordings for Deutschlandradio Berlin , the Sender Freies Berlin , WDR , France 2 and Radio Bremen . Her debut CD was released in 2006 with suites by Debussy , Ravel , Bach and Albéniz .
