Robinsøkket

Robinsøkket ( Norwegian ) is an ice-covered depression in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located southeast of the Neumayer steep wall at the northeast end of the Kirwanveggen .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1961. It was named after the Australian physicist Gordon de Quetteville Robin (1921-2004), a participant in the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949-1952).
