Rock meeting
The Rocktreff is an open air festival that takes place once a year in the Volkspark Mariendorf in Berlin . It is the largest amateur band festival in the city. The three-day event is organized by the ROCK-INI Tempelhof of the Protestant Youth Tempelhof , the Tempelhof-Schöneberg District Office and the CPYE eV. The first rock meeting took place on September 15, 1984 in the Volksparkstadion Berlin. All varieties, from pop and punk to hard rock and metal are represented at this festival. Next to the stage there is a games festival for the little guests. All bands and artists perform free of charge, admission is free.
Organizers and sponsors
The Berlin Tempelhof-Schöneberg District Office, Youth, Order, Citizen Services Department is the organizer of the Rocktreff. Only a small part of the total budget required is borne by the Tempelhof-Schöneberg Youth Welfare Office. The majority of the budget for the three-day open air is provided by the acquired sponsors.
