The Rocky Creek is a river in Jones County in the US state of Mississippi . It rises in a wooded area about 200 meters south of US Highway 84 and 100 meters southwest of Huckleberry Road . It flows a short distance southwest and turns abruptly south at Jason Drive . From Buffalo Hill Road it flows in a southeastern direction. The river then brushes the southwestern border of Ellisville . It flows into Tallahala Creek about 750 meters west of Augusta Road ( 3 mile stretch ) . The catchment area is 136 km².
