history
The two-storey sandstone block building with a hipped roof was originally built in 1844 as the royal forestry office of the city of Kronach. At that time the building stood on the south side of the station square, where the east wing of the post office is now. On the occasion of the construction of the post office building, it was demolished in 1925 and rebuilt at its current location in the garden of the former secondary school , reduced to around half of its original area. The building now serves as a residential building.
