Rodolfo González Pacheco

Rodolfo González Pacheco (born August 9, 1882 in Tandil , Buenos Aires Province , † July 5, 1949 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine anarchist, journalist and writer.

Life

González Pacheco was already politically interested and committed as a teenager. He began to be interested in Bakuni's and Kropotkin's ideas and theories early on . But the Carbonari movement, Errico Malatesta and Pietro Gori found his interest.

He was active in the anarchist movement and also worked in the editorial offices of various political newspapers and magazines such as "La Protesta", "Tribuna Proletaria" and the like. a. Later he also acted as the responsible editor of these magazines.

Since these newspapers and magazines were often banned by the censorship , González Pacheco was also arrested more often. When another arrest threatened at the end of 1935, he fled into exile in Spain . The following year he joined the Republicans and fought in the Spanish Civil War .

In the summer of 1939 González Pacheco returned to Buenos Aires and settled down as a freelance writer. González Pacheco died on July 5, 1949, five weeks before his 67th birthday, and was also buried there.
