Rodrigo Álvez , full name Rodrigo Alberto Álvez Fonseca , (born January 25, 1991 in Artigas ) is a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.78 meter tall midfielder Álvez was at the beginning of his career from 2008 to the end of August 2011 in the ranks of the reserve team (Formativas) of Club Atlético Peñarol . In the 2009/10 season he was also a member of the professional squad, came in the Apertura to two missions (no goal) in the Primera División and won the Uruguayan championship with the team. Then he was loaned to the second division Miramar Misiones in August 2011 , for whom he played in five Segunda División games in the 2011/12 season. He didn't score a goal. In January 2012 he moved to the Rampla Juniors . In the Clausura 2012 he was used with de Montevideanern in seven first division games. A personal goal scoring was denied him. In January 2013 he signed the Cerro Largo FC . In the first year and a half of his commitment there, he played with the East Uruguayans in the top Uruguayan league and played 21 top division games (no goal) across all seasons. After the club's relegation, he played in 35 second division games in the two following seasons 2014/15 and 2015/16 and scored six times in the opposing goal. In early August 2016, he joined the Club Atlético Torque . In the 2016 season he played seven second division matches and scored one goal. In mid-February 2017, Miramar Misiones signed him again. Since then (as of August 10, 2017) he has played in ten second division games at his new club and scored one goal.
