Rodrigo Daniel Quiroga (born March 23, 1987 in San Juan ) is an Argentine volleyball player .

Career

Rodrigo Quiroga comes from a volleyball family. His uncle Raúl Quiroga won bronze at the 1988 Olympic Games , his father Daniel played in Italy and his brother Gonzalo played in the Argentine juniors. His own career began in his hometown with Obras Sanitarias de San Juan. In the 2005/06 season he played one season at Club de Amigos before going to Italy for the second division club Fiorese Spa Bassano . In 2007, the attacker made his debut in the Argentine national team . He then worked for SP Catania and Edilesse Cavriago for two more years in the Italian second division, before moving to first division club Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia in November 2009 . In 2010/11 Quiroga was under contract with Iraklis Thessaloniki in Greece . He returned to Italy for the next season, but his time with CMC Ravenna ended in January 2012. The outside attacker then moved to Istanbul to Fenerbahçe Grundig . With Argentina, he reached the quarter-finals at the 2012 Olympic Games .
