Rodrigo de la Serna (born April 18, 1976 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine actor .

He is best known for his roles in The Journey of Young Che as Alberto Granado and in the Spanish series House of Money as Palermo.

Career

His career began in 1995 when he starred in some Argentinian films and series such as El mismo amor, la misma lluvia , Nueces para el amor and Sol Negro .

With the film The Journey of Young Che , de la Serna first achieved greater notoriety in 2004. He won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Screen Debut for his role and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Role. He played the role of Alberto Granado , Che Guevara's companion on an eight-month trip through South America.

Over the years he played in some Argentine television series, for which he has also received nominations and awards at awards ceremonies (e.g. the Martín Fierro Awards ). He played in the series El Puntero , Hermanos y Detectives and El Lobista, among others .

In 2015 he played in the biopic Chiamatemi Francesco about Pope Francis , the Pope himself in his younger years. He also starred in the 2018 Netflix film Yucatán and in the historic film San Martín: El Cruce de los Andes .

From the third part, which came out in 2019, de la Serna plays as Palermo in the Spanish Netflix series House of Money .
