Rodt (patrician family)

The von Rodt family was a Bernese patrician family , possibly from Gerzensee , who had owned the citizenship of the city of Bern since 1587 and belonged to the society of merchants . The Rodt spelling was only used consistently from the 17th century, the title of nobility from 1786.
