Roekiah
Roekiah (* 1917 in Bandung ; † September 2, 1945 in Jakarta ) was an Indonesian singer and actress . She was the most famous Indonesian film actress and started her career at the age of 7. In her homeland, Roekiah was considered the epitome of beauty. In 1934 she married the representative of the ruling elite ( Priyayi ) Kartolo . The marriage had five children.
