Rogério Romero

Rogério Aoki Romero (born November 22, 1969 in Londrina , Paraná ) is a former Brazilian swimmer.

Romero is the only swimmer in the world who has participated in five consecutive Olympic Games : Seoul 1988 , Barcelona 1992 , Atlanta 1996 , Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 . Except for Athens, the 1.81 m tall, 71 kg back specialist Romero reached at least one final four times in a row. The two-time winner of the Pan American Games held several South American records, especially on his special 200-meter back course, where he was 15 times Brazilian champion.
