Roger-Paul Dechambre

Roger-Paul Dechambre (* 1935 , † 8. November 2016 ) was a French veterinarian and entomologist .

Career

Dechambre attended the École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort , where he wrote a veterinary work on the "primitive aspects of sheep breeding" in 1960. He then studied at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris and graduated in 1970 with a thesis on "Group effects and developments in ascites tumors in mice".

Act

Dechambre was curator at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in Paris, he turned to entomology and was a specialist for the Dynastinae , on whose family he published numerous works. One of the world's largest and most complete collections on the Dynastinae was built here.
