Roger Bernat
Roger Bernat (* 1968 in Barcelona ) is a Catalan director and choreographer .
life and work
Roger Bernat studied directing and dramaturgy at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona until 1996 .
He made his debut as a director for El deseo de ser mujer (1995) and Una historia de amor (1996). He worked as an assistant director at Thierry Salmon (1957-1998) at Asalto al cielo (1996), an adaptation of Penthesilea by Heinrich von Kleist .
Since 2008 he has been creating experimental arrangements in which the audience becomes the center of the performance and the theater the assembly room. He uses documents and eyewitness reports and draws on historical productions. Bernat published specialist articles on participatory theater. his work has received Catalan critic awards.
