Roggersing
Roggersing is a district of the municipality of Grattersdorf in the Lower Bavarian district of Deggendorf .
location
Roggersing is about 1.5 kilometers southwest of Grattersdorf.
history
First mentioned in a document in 903, Roggersing belonged to the caste people in 1507, to the Bradlberg chairman in 1538 and to the Waldteil chairman in 1752 with eight properties. For a long time there were pilgrimages to Roggersing, as the water in a fountain near the church was thought to have special healing properties.
When the community was formed in 1818, Roggersing came to the community of Winsing. The pastor and local researcher Joseph Klämpfl described Roggersing in 1855 as "a village with 12 houses and a church on a sunny hill". He also reported on a Leonhardiritt that was held every year.
As part of the regional reform , Roggersing and the municipality of Winsing came to the present municipality of Grattersdorf on January 1, 1971. Ecclesiastically, Roggersing belongs to the parish of Grattersdorf.
