The small street village is located four kilometers from the East Pomeranian Baltic coast, five and a half kilometers west of Trzebiatów ( Treptow ad Rega ), about 19 kilometers north of Gryfice ( Greifenberg i. Pom. ) And about 30 kilometers west of Kolberg . history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the village of Mittelhagen had a free school yard, ten farmers, six Büdner, one of whom lived on a farm, a shepherd's house, a schoolmaster without his own official apartment and a total of 12 households (fireplaces). For the three adjoining villages of Kirchhagen or Wachholzhagen, Mittelhagen and Vockenhagen, the place name Wachholzhagen was also used jointly in the past.

At the end of the Second World War , the region was conquered by the Red Army and then - like all of Western Pomerania - placed under Polish administration. Unless they had already fled, the German population of Mittelhagen was expelled from 1946 by Polish militiamen who immigrated after the end of the war . The German village Mittelhagen was renamed Rogozina .

Development of the population

  • 1933: 358 inhabitants
  • 1939: 327 inhabitants

Parish

The Protestant population of Mittelhagen until 1946 visited the church in the neighboring village of Kirchhagen or Wachholzhagen, which belonged to the Treptow Synod an der Rega. The parish registers of the parish Wachholzhagen go back to 1586.
