Roland Bornemann

Roland Bornemann (* 1955 in North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German lawyer and honorary professor at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz .

Career

Roland Bornemann studied at the Universities of Regensburg and Würzburg as well as at the German University for Administrative Sciences Speyer . After the second state examination in 1983, he began his professional career as a research assistant at the military service senates of the Federal Administrative Court . From 1985 to the beginning of 1989 he was a legal civil servant department head at the Fürstenfeldbruck district office. On February 1, 1989, he initially joined the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM) as a legal advisor . Bornemann is BLM's legal advisor and heads the legal department. He also works as a lecturer at the Mainz advanced training course in media law. In November 2011, the Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate, Kurt Beck , appointed him honorary professor at the suggestion of the law and economics faculty of the University of Mainz.

Editorships

Bornemann is co-editor of the loose-leaf commentary on the Bavarian Media Act published by NOMOS Verlag , which has been available as an online module since 2016 with the subtitle "With the State Treaty on Broadcasting and Youth Media Protection", the magazine for copyright and media law (ZUM) and the im December 2016 published NOMOS commentary on the youth media protection state treaty.

Publications

Since his first publication on Bavarian citizenship in the Bavarian administrative gazette, Roland Bornemann has made a name for himself through numerous publications. His legal handbook on regulatory offenses in radio and telemedia has been published by Springer Verlag Heidelberg since the 6th edition 2017.
