Roland Gall
Roland Gall (* 1936 in Bohemia ; † 2008 in Dortmund ) was a German film and theater director.
Life
After studying German and art history in Heidelberg and Munich, Gall worked as an assistant director for television and at various theaters from 1962. From 1968 he directed at the Westphalian State Theater Castrop-Rauxel and at the Krefeld Municipal Theaters. His next stops were Freiburg, Nuremberg and Tübingen. Until 1984 he was senior director at the Dortmund City Theater . In 1969 he made his feature film debut with "How I became a negro". Gall died in Dortmund in 2008 at the age of 72 as a result of a stroke.
In 2009 Gall's television series Hans im Glück from Herne 2 was released on DVD.
