Roland helmet
Roland Helm (* 1966 ) is a German economist and university professor .
Life
Helm completed a degree in business administration at the University of Regensburg from 1986 to 1992 , which he completed with a degree in business administration. This was followed by a year-long study of management sciences at the University of Wales with a European Master of Business Sciences (EMBS) degree . From 1993 to 1997 Helm worked as a research assistant at the chair for business administration with a focus on marketing at the University of Augsburg . He received his doctorate in 1997 with a dissertation in the field of international marketing on entering export markets summa cum laude .
Between 1997 and 2000 he represented the marketing department at the Institute for Economic and Social Sciences at the Technical University of Munich in Freising-Weihenstephan . This was followed by a brief acting representation of the chair for general business administration as well as sales, marketing and trade at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena . The habilitation and the receipt of the Venia Legendi took place in 2001 at the University of Augsburg with a thesis on innovation management . In the same year he accepted a professorship for general business administration as well as sales, marketing and trade at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. In 2004 he turned down a call to the University of Duisburg-Essen .
In 2010 he accepted a professorship for business administration, in particular strategic industrial goods marketing, at the University of Regensburg.
Research priorities
Helm deals with the analysis and strategic planning of business areas in B2B markets . Particular attention is paid to the design of services and their sales in various, typically international, markets. This includes the sales-oriented development and design of complex products and service systems as well as complete systems, especially in combination with related services.
