Roland Kulb

Roland Kulb (born October 8, 1958 ) is a former German soccer player. In the 1980s he played in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football , for FC Carl Zeiss Jena .

Athletic career

With a deployment in the 2nd team of FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the GDR league season , 18-year-old Roland Kulb started his career in the higher-class league area towards the end of the 1975/76 season. He then appeared in seven seasons with FC Carl Zeiss in the junior league . There he was at times a regular player, mostly as a defender. In the 1980/81 season he played in addition to his games in the junior league on the 19th and 22nd game day two matches in the GDR Oberliga. After being substituted on in the final quarter of an hour on his first appearance, he played as a defender in the game FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt - FCC (0-0) for the full duration of the game. From November 1983 on, Kulb began to play for the second-rate GDR league club BSG Wismut Gera . By September 1984 he was regularly used in 16 league games in midfield, where he scored one goal. In November 1984 he was drafted into the National People's Army for military service. Afterwards, Roland Kulb no longer appeared in the higher-class football game operation.
