Roland Woodpecker
Roland Specht (born June 7, 1968 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German poker and table tennis player .
Table tennis
After graduating from high school, he played table tennis in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga from 1986 to 1996 , namely for the clubs Mainz (until 1988), TTC Grenzau (1988/89), Spvg Steinhagen (1989/90), Eintracht Frankfurt (1990 / 91), Würzburger Kickers (from 1991) and around 1996 at KSG Dortelweil.
poker
He found his way to poker in 1997 through a croupier job. He reached top 5 placings at tournament events in Bad Homburg, Wiesbaden, Baden-Baden, 3rd place in Bregenz 2002 Omaha Pot Limit and won the main event / overall winner Velden Wörthersee Trophy 2005. In 2006 he was with the German national team under Michael No one successful in international competitions. He had his last tournament success in 2009.
