Rolf B. Behrmann

Rolf Bernhard Behrmann (born September 22, 1911 ; † November 20, 1982 ) was a German geologist who dealt with petroleum geology and geotectonics.

Behrmann received his doctorate on geotectonics of the Apennines under Hans Stille in Berlin in 1936 .

He worked as a petroleum geologist for Deutsche Vacuum Oil (from 1955 Mobil Oil Germany) in Hamburg- Bergedorf and Celle, for which he also worked in Italy, and wrote monographs on the geotectonics of the Apennines .

From 1973 he was with the German Society for Mineral Oil Science and Coal Chemistry, for which he was involved, among other things, in 1976 in a memorandum on the situation of deposit research.

In 1961 he received the Hans Stille Medal .
