Rolf Fliegauf

Rolf Fliegauf (born December 13, 1980 in Nördlingen ) is a German chef .

Career

In 1997 he began his training at the Dehner flower hotel in Rain am Lech (Bavaria). In 2000 he moved to Traube Tonbach under Harald Wohlfahrt in Baiersbronn , cooked on Sylt in the formerly starred restaurant Veneto and in the Gogärtchen in Kampen. In 2003 he went to Switzerland and was Sous Chef under Urs Gschwend at the Hotel Lenkerhof .

In 2007 he became head chef at the Ecco Ascona restaurant in the Swiss five-star hotel Giardino Ascona on Lake Maggiore . In winter, the head chef and his entire team move to the Ecco St. Moritz in St. Moritz.

Awards

  • 2011 Two stars in the Michelin Guide (at the age of 29 as the youngest chef in Europe to have received this award)
  • 2012 Two stars for the Ecco in Ascona, two stars for the Ecco St. Moritz.
