Rolf Harlinghausen

Rolf Harlinghausen (born June 25, 1940 in Hamburg ) is a German CDU politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament.

Life

After graduating from high school , Rolf Harlinghausen did an administrative training. He studied education at the University of Hamburg and the USA. In 1966 he was accepted into the school service. Before he retired, he was a teacher at the Heinrich Hertz School in Hamburg until July 31, 2004, where he himself had completed his Abitur. He has a particular passion for Scandinavia and speaks good Swedish.

He is married and has one child.

He has been a member of the CDU since 1984. From 1993 to 2011 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . There he sat for his group in the European Committee, Legal Committee and Sports Committee. He was a specialist spokesman for European politics, town twinning and international affairs.

He has been a member of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union for Hamburg since 2004 .
