Rolf Hodapp

Rolf Hodapp (born July 16, 1930 in Karlsruhe , † February 28, 1991 ) was a German ballet dancer .

Life

After World War II, he trained as an apprentice at the former "City Theater Karlsruhe", today's Konzerthaus Karlsruhe. In 1951 he moved to Frankfurt am Main at the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt , where he was a member of the Frankfurt Ballet . Later stages of his solo career were Wiesbaden , Essen and Dortmund . Among other things, Hodapp performed as a ballet soloist with Doris Träger . In 1959, he and his future wife founded the Wiemer-Hodapp ballet school, which existed until 1991. In 1961 he married the ballet dancer Doris Wiemer, who was also employed at the Hessian State Theater. He was also seen on German television. For example, on May 18, 1968, he was a guest in the Saturday evening show One Will Win , which at that time regularly reached an audience in the double-digit millions.
