Rolf Hermann Fritz Kramer (born December 9, 1949 in Barenburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and advanced vocational school, Kramer did an apprenticeship as a heating engineer . He then completed an engineering course for supply technology at a university of applied sciences , which he completed as a graduate engineer (FH), and then studied to become a trade teacher at the Technical University of Hanover . From 1978 until he joined the Bundestag in 2002, Kramer worked as a vocational school teacher in Lohne.

Rolf Kramer is married and has two daughters.

Political party

He has been a member of the SPD since 1981. Kramer was in the city of Diepholz from 1991 to 2001 chairman of the Diepholz SPD, from 1999 to 2009 chairman of the SPD sub-district Diepholz and he was also a member of the board of the SPD district of Hanover .

From 1991 to 2007 Kramer was a member of the city ​​council of his hometown Diepholz.

Between 2002 and 2009 he was a member of the German Bundestag . Kramer was a member of the Defense Committee and, as a deputy, of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Kramer has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Diepholz - Nienburg I constituency . In 2002 he was elected with 48.3% of the vote. In the 2005 Bundestag election , he achieved 45.7% of the first votes .

In the 2009 Bundestag election, Rolf Kramer was defeated by the direct candidate of the CDU (Axel Knörig) in the Diepholz - Nienburg I constituency. Kramer was also unable to enter the Bundestag via the Lower Saxony state list.
