Rolf Peter Tschapek
Rolf Peter Tschapek is a German author and teacher in retirement .
Life
Tschapek studied and did his doctorate at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf with Wolfgang J. Mommsen .
His dissertation Building Blocks of a Future German Central Africa , which deals with the German colonial policy in Africa under Bernhard von Bülow and Theobald von Bethmann Hollweg , was described by Sönke Neitzel in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on February 4, 2001 as "meritorious" and as "illustrative" designated. Markus Bussmann does not see Tschapek's dissertation as the first analysis of German-English negotiations in 1898 and 1912–1914 about the colonies of Portugal , but as the most comprehensive treatment of this aspect of Wilhelmine foreign policy.
Rolf Peter Tschapek taught in July 2016 at the Michael-Ende-Gymnasium in Tönisvorst the subjects English and History .
