Rolf Seisser

Rolf Seißer , also Seisser , (born April 29, 1922 - † May 6, 2019 ) was a German association official .

Life

Rolf Seißer, son of a family of merchants from Würzburg, studied and, in 1955, wrote his dissertation on the development and importance of German machine exports to Western Europe. With special consideration of the export of printing u. Paper machines at the legal u. political science faculty of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg for Dr. rer. pole. PhD .

In 1960 Rolf Seißer succeeded his father Dr. jur. Paul Seißer, managing director and 1955 founder of the printing machines research company .

For many years Rolf Seißer was the general manager of the Printing and Paper Association in the Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering (VDMA) .

From 1997 to 2001 he was President of the Frankfurt Association for Artists Aid . In recognition of his services to the association, the Lions Club Frankfurt praised the Dr. Rolf Seisser Prize . The award, first presented in 2005 and endowed with € 5000, is given to a young artist every two years. From 1985 he got involved in the now discontinued Frankfurt radio play sponsorship award .
