Rolf Uesseler

Rolf Uesseler (* 1943 in Dortmund ; † June 20, 2012 in Rome ) was a German essayist and activist .

In addition to his work as a journalist and writer , he has made a living by documenting his research into the erosion of state power, especially in the field of military services .

Rolf Uesseler studied economics , psychology and journalism . Since 1979 he has worked as an independent researcher and journalist in Rome , where he was active in the Italian anti-mafia movement for more than a decade. His main areas of work were the illegal trends of the world economy, organized crime and the informal economy, privatizations and the process of de-democratization, the links between the Mafia and the state in Italy . As an economist, he has developed tools for analyzing money laundering and illegal money transfers. He has published numerous articles in German and Italian magazines and several books.

Uesseler died on June 20, 2012 in Rome of complications from cancer.
