Rolf Westman
Rolf Rainer Otto Robert Westman (born June 21, 1927 in Ekenäs ; † January 12, 2017 in Åbo ) was a Finnish classical philologist and historian of philosophy .
Westman was 1957 in Classic Philology Dr. phil. PhD. From 1958 to 1962 he was an adjunct professor and from 1962 to 1993 a full professor of Greek and Latin literature at the Åbo Akademi .
Westman worked primarily on the philological editions of Plutarch's writings that were directed against Epicurus and his pupil Kolotes, as well as against the Stoics . Latinist work included Seneca's style and Cicero's Orator script .
