Rolland Derenfro "Bay" Lawrence (* 24. March 1951 in Franklin , Pennsylvania ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the cornerbacks . He played his entire career from 1973 to 1980 with the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Lawrence went to Tabor College in Hillsboro , Kansas .

NFL

Lawrence signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons in 1973 after not being considered in the 1973 NFL Draft . In his first two seasons with the Falcons, he only scored one interception . In the 1975 season he then brought it to nine interceptions. In 1977 he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first and only time . After the 1980 season, he ended his career. In his eight years with the Atlanta Falcons, he scored a total of 39 interceptions, which is still a current franchise record. It's also worth noting that he's been on the pitch in every game of the season over those eight years (118 games in total).
