Roman Felleis (born March 18, 1903 in Vienna ; † August 24, 1944 in Buchenwald concentration camp , Thuringia ) was an Austrian politician. Together with Bruno Kreisky he founded the Revolutionary Socialist Youth.

Roman Felleis 'political career began in the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ). After the end of the Austrian Civil War , the SAJ was banned in February 1934. As a result, the former SAJ functionaries gathered in the Vienna Woods and founded the Revolutionary Socialist Youth (RSJ) on February 18, under the leadership of Roman Felleis and Bruno Kreisky .

In the late summer of 1939 the Gestapo managed to arrest Roman Felleis. After his conviction he was transferred to the Buchenwald concentration camp. He died on August 24, 1944 during an American bomb attack.

His honorary grave (Department 2, Ring 3, Group 1, Number 18) is in the urn grove of the Simmering fire hall .

In 2004, Roman-Felleis-Gasse in Vienna- Floridsdorf (21st district) was named after him. In addition, a community building built in 1927/28 in the 3rd district of Vienna (Hagenmüllergasse) was named after him.
