Roman Gergel (born February 22, 1988 in Bánovce nad Bebravou ) is a Slovak football player .

Club career

Gergel played for TJ Spartak Bánovce nad Bebravou and FK AS Trenčín in his youth . He got his first professional contract with FK AS Trenčín, where he completed three seasons. He moved to MŠK Žilina in August 2010 and was awarded to 1. FC Tatran Prešov for six months in 2013 . Then he played briefly for DAC Dunajská Streda and moved to the Polish club Górnik Zabrze . In the summer of 2016 he signed a contract with Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza in the Ekstraklasa .

National team

Gergel played for the Slovak U-19 national team and also for the U-21 national team .

In January 2017, the midfielder played his first two senior internationals in the friendlies against Uganda (1: 3) and Sweden (0: 6) .
