Romana Jordan (born January 8, 1966 in Celje ) is a Slovenian politician ( Slovenska demokratska stranka ).

Jordan holds a degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in nuclear engineering. She did her doctorate in the field of nuclear technology and worked as a research assistant at the Jožef Stefan Institute .

Jordan was chairman of the municipal supervisory body of the municipality of Domžale from 1998 to 2002 and then a member of the local council until 2004. She has been a member of the European Parliament since 2004 .

Jordan is also a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Forum for Higher Education and Science, a member of the Board of Directors and Vice-Chairwoman of the Slovenian NATO Society and President of the Nuclear Society of Slovenia.

In the period from 2009 to 2014, Jordan also achieved a seat in the EU Parliament. As a member of the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats), she is on the following committees and delegations:

She is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Delegation for Relations with the United States . She is a deputy in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and in the delegation in the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee.
